Finally, our staff will happily make reservations at local
hotels and "Bed & Breakfast's" for older family members, the
Bride and Groom, or those wishing more privacy than the
lodge can offer. We have several nice options within a five
minute drive from the lodge. These additional options are a
plus in the event you wish to invite more guests than the
lodge can accommodate for sleeping. We will happily quote
meal rates for your guests that are staying somewhere else
so that they can be part of all the meals and festivities.
 Holiday Gatherings
Yet another great way to come to the lodge is for Holiday
Gatherings for you and your family. Let us organize the
seasonal decorations for such festive weekends or vacations
as Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day or
Thanksgiving. We can plan several of the bigger meals
and serve them for you. Or, if you prefer you can do
all the cooking and partying.
What fun to enjoy being together with plenty of room to
spread out or lots of great traditions to share, while
making new ones to enjoy.
 Crafters of all Kinds Gather
Yet another kind of group for which the lodge seems to be
particularly well suited is for those who love crafting. We
have enjoyed folks who did counted cross stitching,
quilting, scrap booking, knitting and weaving. People love
to bring their projects, spread out and work late into the
night without the distractions of having to cook, wash
dishes, tend children or answer the phone.
Many people brag to their families and friends the fact that
they never got out of their PJ's for the whole weekend!
Adding special food and a sip of wine, a fire burning
brightly, a relaxing massage, lots of chatting and catching
up with friends, plenty of room to work, and a good night's
rest, makes this a perfect "get away" for those who love to
work with their hands to create something of lasting memory
to family and friends.
 Women and Men's Groups Enjoy Time Away
Other groups that have seemed to thoroughly enjoy their time
with us at the lodge are gatherings of either men or women.
Both sexes seem to enjoy the company of their own gender.
Serious, in depth workshops that deal with the special
concerns and needs of both men and women seem to work well
in our peaceful, soothing environment.
People leave saying that they have been able to get a better
perspective on their life when they took the time and
initiative to step back and reflect. The lodge seems to
invite and encourage this kind of mindful reflection.
 Church Groups Welcome!
Groups of all ages have come from churches of different
denominations since the lodge was built 30 years ago.
Church groups enjoy the informality of the setting, as well
as the many recreational options available. Prayer groups
enjoy the serenity of the rural environment. Vestry or
planning groups report that the main room, as well as the
downstairs meeting space, both encourage good planning and
quiet reflections. Everyone says that the food certainly
adds a great deal to the retreat's success.

Let us arrange for the rentals of a tent, tables, chairs,
linens, and other decorations to make your event a huge hit.
We can also order a special cake of your liking. We have
professional contacts for everything from flowers, to music,
to horse drawn carriages, to babysitting for the little
ones, to on-site make-up and nail sculpturing. We can do the
decorating, set the tone, prepare the meals, arrange the
flowers, organize and clean up the food. All you have to do
is invite the guests and then, relax and enjoy your special
day.
